Su Connan
Su Connan is a BACP Registered Accredited Counsellor/ Psychotherapist. She is a graduate of the Pink Therapy Certificate in Sexual Minority Therapy (renamed the Diploma in Gender and Sexual Diversity Therapy in 2012). Su is also a Pink Therapy Clinical Associate.
Su practices as a Person-Centred therapist and works with a diverse range of people – some of whom bring their concerns about gender, sexual diversity and alternative relationships. Su has a private practice in South East London and sees clients nationally and internationally via Skype. She also sees clients for One Therapy London at their central London practice.
Su is a qualified supervisor, working with individuals and groups. Her article, A Kink in the Process, was the lead article in the July 2010 issue of Therapy Today. This provoked an ongoing debate around the challenges of working with kink and BDSM issues in therapy and of being a kink-identified therapist.
Su holds a B.A. in Fine Art and has over 20 years experience working in the social sector with people with physical and learning disabilities. She is currently working on a follow-on training for therapists who have attended her first workshop or who are already working with kink clients.
