Dr Sarah Goode
Dr Sarah D. Goode is a researcher whose work, since 2004, has focused on understanding adult sexual attraction to children and specifically the experiences of non-offending paedophiles living in the community.
She trained as a paediatric occupational therapist and holds a doctorate in the sociology of health from Warwick University. She has previously taught on the MSc in Child Health at Warwick Medical School and until 2013 she led the Research and Policy Centre for the Study of Wellbeing in Communities, at the University of Winchester.
Sarah is the author of Understanding and Addressing Adult Sexual Attraction to Children: A Study of Paedophiles in Contemporary Society (Routledge, 2009, available here) and Paedophiles in Society: Reflecting on Sexuality, Abuse and Hope (Palgrave Macmillan, 2011, available here). Her work was featured in Channel Four’s documentary, The Paedophile Next Door (November 2014), and she has also appeared on ITV’s This Morning and on Newsnight.
